Photography is a passion of mine but I do have a life and other interests. I am also passionate about my family, animals, and life in general and yes, sometimes that means some quirky stuff. I wrote a column on Examiner.com for seven years and with their recent closure I've been transferring many of my old article's into the blog.

So here you'll find a little business, a little personal, and a little bit of everything in between. It's all just a bit of a mish-mash here but I hope that you'll enjoy the images I share, what you read, and will return often.

Things aren't always what they seem

I hate driving in this weather. Not because I don't trust my own driving skills, but the skills of others leave much to be desired and I know it. I've got one life and one car and no allowances in my budget for a new one, of either.

Take this fella here for example. Prime example of driving a little too fast for conditions. I am not guessing about that. He made the news. He was ticketed. And no worries, he walked away without injury.

Wreck on MO I55

Semi's race through this corridor. And in this weather, with all the thawing and refreezing, they make the morning commute interesting, and sometimes incredibly dangerous.

I bet the owner of this truck is very happy that his driver is safe. But I also bet they are choking on the repair bill to this piece of equipment.

Slow down people. The name of the game is to arrive, alive.
