My bestie got a new (to her) car- the radio doesn't work but the CD player does. She's been driving it a few months now and owns exactly one CD. One. And as much as she likes Stevie Nicks she was really needing some new tunes.
I mentioned she should go down to the local thrift store and check out the bazillion CD's they have there. Nothing is in order- all the genres are mixed She decided to jump in and see what she could find.
We didn't expect this one and it was one of the first ones she pulled from the pile.
Mary Me Jane was one of Beattie's bands. He was a local musician that came up in a family of musicians and a well known talent in the area. Aside from great vocals he was a master harmonica player; long notes and impromptu solos made the crowds scream.
My bestie had never heard Tim's music but knew him because their kids grew up on the same block together. It seemed a little more than coincidence that she found that CD as Beattie recently passed away and that alone made it a keeper. I look forward to listening to it when we are elderberry hunting this summer.
RIP, Tim.
