Where-o-where did my Frankie go?

Working at home I am used to the constant companionship of my animals. While I work they are either in their kennels right by my desk, laying on the rug right beside me, or I can typically hear them snoring in the living room at the front of the house.

Today I suddenly had the feeling something was wrong; missing.

I looked around.

Pearl, huffing and puffing from the top of Frank's kennel; check, Roman's snoring three foot away; check, Crystal, sprawled on the desk supervising as she does (dang cats); check.

No Frank.

Time for a break anyway. First stop the rest room. As soon as I walked into the room I knew where Frank had slipped off to. My bedroom is right off the bath. I typically keep the door closed through the day but it was opened.

And there was my missing pibble.

I had actually made my bed this morning which is usually a Frank favorite to destroy. He's a nester and he'll shred the bed, pile it all up, and then snooze right in the middle of the pile.

I guess he thought he'd be kind.

Or maybe arranging my pile of pillows was just easier. Whatever the case may be, Frank had made his spot.

And just as he began to shake off the grogginess of his afternoon nap he realized I had grabbed my camera from the stand. Frank-9992Frank-9992

"Awwwwww mom!", I just bet he would like to say, "I'm not awake enough for that yet" as he buries his nose in the soft and warm of the pillows.

Silly pibble.
