"Hey, my kid needs some pics to throw around the web for his DJ business. Think you can pull that off?"

It was '03 and would be my first ever shoot in the dark, with moving subjects, but agreed to give it a go.

I walked in with a substandard camera in the early years of digital and got more practice than I would ever have imagined. That was the moment I learned, after much trial and error, how to shoot with a fast shutter and a wide open aperture so that everything didn't blur. Even some that did came out pretty neat looking. 

There were hundreds of shots but this is all I have left after a hard drive crash. 

The event was in in Cape Girardeau, MO.
