Walking past the window I couldn't miss those lovely lines. They are so constant these days. 

"Nothing to see here," they say. "Just a little vapor."

X marks the spot, right? 

There are people that actually still look up at this and think it's completely natural; normal. And while it has become the norm there is nothing natural about it. 

I am not sure how living things can continue absorbing what falls from the skies. Adapt or succumb? 

Within minutes the lines are gone but replaced by "the haze". That solid gray cover that just removes the sun from anything under it. 

It's April Fools Day. How appropriate. The joke appears to be on us, always.
